hipster ariel Dr. Isis is an exercise physiologist at a major research university working on some terribly impressive stuff. Even though she’s been writing since the dawn of the Internet, she’s not exactly sure what she should be blogging about. She is enthusiastic about exercise, hilarious lab hijinks, eating way more than she should, drinking scotch, cracking wise, and promoting diversity. She loves all of those things. And her family. Not necessarily in that order.

5% of what Isis writes is the God’s honest truth, 95% is sarcasm, parody and nonsense. She’s not even always sure which is which. None of this reflects the views of her employer.

You can reach Dr. Isis at isisthescientist at gmail dot com or follow her on Twitter.

  1. Site feedback/fyi:
In the right column, under “REAL NAMERS….”, the “Southern Fried Science” link lacks an href. Also, several nearby links are to specific posts, rather than to the blog itself.
    Thanks for all your work.

  2. Adoring fan who would like to write you an email to ask for your advice

You don’t have an email address listed, and I’m guessing that’s on purpose. Is there a way for your hordes of adoring fans to contact you?

  5. It’s natural to think highly of your partner,
but don’t have unrealistic expectations of how perfect your life will be
when you’re finally together again. Commitment: This is entirely essential in getting through a long distance relationship.
Have you ever come across someone who just kept saying that a long distance relationship would not work no matter how hard you try.
