I get a feeling from browsing over at Lulu’s and ShoeDazzle that pastels are coming back for the spring. I had a big coupon and there was a sale, so I picked these up for $15 earlier today…
Figure 1: The Louise Pump. $20.97 on sale at ShoeDazzle.
These lovelies also caught my eye over at Lulu’s…
Figure 2: Adoncia by Anne Michelle in mint. $28 at Lulu’s.
Speaking of shoes reminds me of a chat I had last night. Someone asked about shoes for a wedding. She was looking for a pair of beige heels with an eye toward comforts and not being “too slippy.” I often add traction pads to the bottoms of my shoes because I work in a building with marble floors and marble floors are assholes. I like these as a good, basic patent shoe but comfort is usually in the eye of the beholder and women’s dress shoes are not necessarily known for their comfort. I sometimes find that a shoe that fits the length of my foot and my heel is too snug in the front until I wear it in. That’s why I pre-wear all of my shoes with this trick. If you’re wearing a pair of shoes for an occasion, this can really improve the comfort of a pair of shoes…

I cannot wait to do this with a pair I have at home that are a tad tight in the toe.
Tonight I will hear my spouse yell, “You have so many shoes they have metastasized to the freezer?!?”
Totally. Worth. It.
Given your discussions this week I was expecting some running shoes, frankly.
Real runners run barefoot.
oh, i wish you’d posted this yesterday! i just returned a pair of ankle boots to DSW (that I got at a GREAT sales price) yesterday, because i just couldn’t make them work. ah well. next time.
Best advice evah!

That green color is fucken heinous. It looks those drool bibbes they make you wear at the dentist.
I am still in lust over these shoes. If only they came as a closed-toe heel, instead of a peep toe. Sigh. I had a pair, but ended up giving it to a good friend because I absolutely hate having my toes flop around everywhere when I walk.
Anyway, just imagine all the colors one could play with with these shoes….

Oh, I bet you are intimately familiar with “drool bibbes”, CPP! Standard equipment in the old folks home.
